Cilla Barrett’s enthusiasm for art, design, and creativity has generated a deep appreciation for different genres, the creative process, and the overall craftsmanship.
In her own pursuit of creative expression, Cilla B has explored various art forms and mediums, including quilting, textiles, stitchery, paper, drawing and photography. Acrylic painting continues as her primary passion.
Cilla B loves the unlimited possibilities of abstract painting. She enjoys the options of working on an organic freestyle piece, concentrating on a detailed geometric piece, or producing artwork with any combination of styles. At other times she is inspired to honor the love of flowers and animals with an impressionistic rendition.
As a self-taught painter, Cilla B has found many aspects of her Northeastern University Graphic Design training invaluable. Her efforts to focus on color, flow, depth, perspective, and complexity result in pieces that are colorful, bold, spirited and compelling.
Cilla Barrett currently resides in Reading, Massachusetts, United States. She has been employed at a non-profit community center for the past 25 years.
